Alice's mum forbade them to see one another around this exact time, and it gets curiouser and curiouser that those pages were ripped out by family members after his death. It's almost like deleting part of who he was, which for the time was probably not so out of the ordinary, but the smugness of those who now get to deny his proclivities is an assisted fabrication in my view. Those pages would NOT have been removed unless the family members were worried about his image, and is it not curious that their worry revolved around banishment from being allowed seeing Alice.
