The 10yo girl A is amazing.

And, I will never, ever take advantage of a kids' affection, ever. Just let that be said.

Whenever it does happen, is the girl's decision. to result in some joy.
The thing I will say about 10yos (and more specifically the 10yo in this relationship is that, they are starting to develop their own ways of seeing things, and that's good. It just means that hugs from them may be a little more tentative.

They will hug you, but it's not a commitment. So we just leave it as it is, there.

Let them build their confidence there.

I wish it all well in the human development programme. (If that's even possible.)
