A few days ago, I was at a store, and notice an attractive 14 year old LG.
Of course, I pretended that I didn't care at all. This got me thinking, along with my AoA, which seems to have shifted from a preference for 12-16 girls.
I think it's ridiculous that in common discourse that attraction to girls
14-17(more specifically 15-17) is considered pedophilia.

If you actually look up the defintion of pedophilia in the DSM, the definition is this:

An individual who has had arousing fantasies about, urges for, or behaviors with a prepubescent child or children.
The individual has acted out these sexual desires, or is experiencing significant distress or difficulty as a result of these desires.

or as one of the Wikipedia sources says " Pedophilia is used for individuals with a primary or exclusive sexual interest in prepubescent children aged 13 or younger."


What I'm trying to say is that terms like "jailbait" exist for good reason among people who would never consider themselves pedos, and yet ridiculously
anyone below the magic age of 18 is a "Child" even though you're considered responsible enough to get a license and drive.

France's age of consent is 15, and below that, you have to prove that the sexual encounter was coerced and forced. This strikes me as much more sensible. Why assume that all sex below the age of majority is sexual assault? It should be treated on an individual basis.
