You CAN'T take societal likes or dislikes as valid depiction of fact. The Roman Catholic church, for hundreds of years, disliked the fact that the earth was in orbit around the sun. Society thinks that once a person turns 18 that sex is a good thing but before that birthday, sex is a bad thing and should be forcibly repressed. Seventeen years, 364 days: sex is bad, harmful, shameful, and illegal. But, the very next day: well, it's your life, fuck whoever is willing to fuck you back. And then, there's "War!" and all the crap that entails. If it's not "oil! I got cheap oil!" then it's "my god's dick is bigger than your god's dick."

Nudity is bad.... okay, sure. In Northern Canada in a January blizzard. But in the summertime heat at the beaches? Okay. Nudity is bad then, too. But... if I may ask... why?
