There would be exceptions and all that, like you wouldn't be bound forever to submitting to her whims if she turned nasty in her personality later or made terrible choices and now saw you as someone to use and take from without thinking anything of it, but if she were still generally trying to do right in life and moving in a positive direction, then we'd probably owe it to her to remain helpful and supportive as a friend. That's been my feeling at least. I guess it would depend on different factors.
