... in fact, I had gotten as far as banning trousers, shorts, underwear, and blouses - and I suppose I should add robes and dresses to that list - but I hadn't thought of tying in the Sharia angle.

I'm thinking there is something in sharia law about exactly which body parts should be covered, and it seems only right that we should defy sharia law by requiring all those body parts to be UNCOVERED for girls, in the name of gender equality!
