Anyone who's been here for a long while easily knows how politicized Wikipedia is, and not even just in relation to pedophilia, but a whole range of topics. TED really is no different. In fact, I can even remember Sarah Silverman taking them to task once upon a time, and she's something left of independent. Just because they are polished doesn't mean they are out of the control of particular agendas. And yes, there's been a lot of "brownshirting" by the Left these days, most glaringly apparent on Twitter, but all over the internet. Those who rely on corporate sponsers are particularly vulnerable, since those sponsors are only concerned about profit, which means they will drop you like a hot potato for the slightest amount of bad PR, whether honest or fabricated. Sad situation when facts that fly in the face of an agenda must be made to disappear, but in the end, it's the agenda itself which fails.
