The speaker didn't even say anything false, nor controversial, and yet she has to have the video taken down because she is being riddled with death threats.

There is such an extreme level of hysteria regarding pedophilia in the Western World. It is not a topic where rational discussion is welcome.

As researchers, there are 2 likely scenarios.

1. You're making research that will help our community. Result: You will have your professional reputation jeopardized.

2. You're making research that will continue the current narrative.


It should make more sense why we have lost most trust. Option 3. doesn't exist, because the crazed masses aren't ready for it.
