Apologies if I've come off as rude, and/or crazy.

I'm autistic.

I mentioned this because obviously my brain is wired differently. I have learned that in the autistic population homo, or asexuality, or abnormal sexuality is the norm, with professionally conducted surveys indicating something around half are not heterosexual.

I don't know where positive change will come from.

I can however very easily tell you that just a decade ago I would have been thrilled to see some researchers want to learn about me, but I have grown cynical because the world doesn't seem ready for progress anyways.

I have reported my attractions to a psychologist before. It didn't result in any good or bad, but it did result in me doing a lot of psycho-education for the psychologist, and recommending a few books... Supposed to be the other way around, but he was so misinformed that it was needed. (His initial reaction was fear, shock, which he eventually masked as "I don't think this choice is good for you.")

"Choice may or may not have been used.

I don't know where change might come from. There are some healthy trends on how we treat homosexuals. There is good research going on about the brain that helps show physical structural differences for variety of conditions.

This helps reduce people's prejudice.

There is even a blood test for Autism, with 97.6% accuracy.

The main issue with making progress is that peoples long-standing beliefs about pedophiles, the assumptions they make without thinking, and knowing, are so off base that any correct information may as well be written in a martian language.

Just type in pedophile on Amazon.

The results are about abuse, rape, predators, etc.

Pedophilia is certainly the least studied, and in greatest need than any other area in psychology. But I sadly don't think the public is ready for it. They are too busy sweeping it under the rug.

25% of men get penile response to underage girls. I think the reason we don't want to talk about it because of the undeniable prevalence. Pedophilia is in fact much the opposite of the sneaky rare monster. It is in fact a near ubiquitous reality of nature and our minimalist past to prefer youth for reproduction.

There was certainly a place for pedophiles in the past civilizations. We have fallen out of favor in modern times, but this panic is recent.
