The issue now, even if the researcher is not bias, and they have followed proper methodology, and let's just pretend they actually have a random sample, (getting all your participants from GirlChat is not a random sample,) you still have this huge over-arching issue of how the data is going to be interpreted by the outside (and extremely ignorant, and simple-minded) world.

Researchers may even make rational conclusions, which can still be then twisted and used as evidence to further an opposing agenda.

I don't think there is any winning until there is a cultural shift. I don't think the shift comes about rationally. Somehow, we will need to appeal to emotion.
