We've also never had a society that treats 16 year olds as complete children incapable of even being around adults or making decisions for themselves.

Yet that is the society we are in. So is that an issue? I mean if just the fact that it's never popped up before scares you then isn't that a big issue for you too?

If you know of a society that is like that then disregard the message, but please tell me which one it is, because I don't recall any and I really love history.
