I don't think it's actually the immediate family that gets mentioned in the statistics as much as "in the home", where uncles, friends of the family, step-fathers and step-brothers play a larger role than members of the same biological nuclear family.

But you are correct, and it is the exception that proves the rule -- you yourself refer to it as "sexual child abuse", admitting that you agree it is a bad thing. I was naturally speaking about what ought to happen -- what good parents do, and what good pedophiles should also strive to do.
