Rind et al is a great study, but it isn't the only study. I admit, I also tend to blur them together a bit over time, but it is sometimes helpful to be more precise.
Rind et al did find that the harm ascribed to adult-child sex is vastly overblown.
The data about which types of abuse are most harmful was from "Ney, Philip, Tak Fung, and Adele Wickett (1994), "The Worst Combinations of Child Abuse and Neglect," Child Abuse and Neglect, 18, 705-714."
One other point: the results are made awkward by the authors mixing together actual abuse with non-abusive sexual relationships, but the data seems to point to adult-child sex being beneficial to many children, especially to children who are physically or emotionally abused or neglected.
Puzzled commented on it here at GirlChat in 2002. Though the data is present in the original study, the conclusions are Puzzled's.
