What does it mean to discriminate?

A heterosexual is defined as being sexually oriented to the opposite sex, i.e., males attracted exclusively to females and females attracted exclusively to males.

A bisexual is defined as being sexually oriented to both sexes. An example need not be given here, eh?

A homosexual is defined as being sexually oriented to the same sex, i.e., males attracted exclusively to males and females attracted exclusively to females.

There are others. But for the sake of this post, I will limit my discussion to these.

Orientation, a noun, is an inclination, tendency or direction. Of course, there are other definitions of the term, as well.

In sexuality, an orientation is best described as a sexual attraction to something. A frog is sexually oriented to other frogs, an ostrich is sexually oriented to other ostriches, and a human is sexually oriented to other humans. Of course, there are exceptions to this but they are rare, comparatively.

These are definitions of words in the English language. As such, refusing to classify ME with an orientation towards 7 year old little girls would be the same as refusing to classify me as a human being. (And, if you look to make a rebuttal on me being a human being, my reply would be to discuss deoxyribonucleic acid which would get us into a discussion on biochemistry.)

The word pedophile is defined as someone who is sexually attracted to prepubescent humans. Thus, pedophilia is an orientation. What you do with that is a social feature and quite beyond the scope of this post.

Semantics, billi. You can call a horse an apple, but most English speakers would disagree with you. Definitions, then, are word usages set according to what the masses of users agree that they are.

"When it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, I call it a duck. Call it a bunch of roses, it still quacks." Robert Heinlien, Glory Road, Tom Doherty Associates, LLC, 1963
