So last night, for reasons I won't go into, I took a public bus from one location to another. I made my way to the city station. I got on, and we were just about to be on our way.

From the front doors, I hear "Bye, Peanut!" in girl voices, and a very petite and attractive girl of probably black descent and wearing tight jeans with the rips in them gets on, smiling and makes her way past me all the way to the back. She was about 14, and it was about 11pm. Okay. Not common, but also not unusual around these parts.

Two minutes later, another petite 14 year old, this time long blond hair and braces, stumbles onto the bus. She's wearing a blue baseball jacket and tight denim short-shorts. I hear a shout-out from the bacl of the bus. She giggles and literally bumps left and right into the seats the entire way down the aisle. Her eyes are a little messed up, but she is gorgeous.

As luck would have it, she bumps into me, and her friend at the back of the bus lets out a laugh. I'm only sad that she didn't fall into my lap, but I digress.

Anyway, we're riding along, and inevitably I imagine their stop is the same as mine. We all get off. Suddenly they need my assistance or something, and we all end up back at my place. Naturally, nothing illegal happens, and as the good samaritan that I am, I drive them home.

So I wait. They haven't gotten off at any of the stops before mine. YES! We get to my stop. Is my dream going to become real? Crap, they aren't getting off. I can hop off at the next stop, as it might be theirs, too! They still don't get off the bus. Next stop? Nope.

Eventually, the laws of physics dictate to Eeyore that his stupid little fantasy is not worth the extra walk, so I get off at the next stop.

I catch a glimpse of the blond at the back of the bus staring off blankly into space. I don't know where their stop is, and I'm not even sure they do.

Ahh, well.
