How about: I'm On Fire, Springsteen The video for it (the Live one) shows a mechanic and an adult woman. But the lyrics don't match the video. In fact, many posted lyrics of the song don't match what Springsteen sings in the video. You have to listen close. Hey little girl is your daddy home Did he go away and leave you all alone I got a bad desire I'm on fire Tell me now baby is he good to you Can he do to you the things that I do (here he actually sings "things that I DON'T do") I can take you higher I'm on fire The rest just amplifies his passion but these two verses define well the age of the girl and what he wants to do with Her. Would anyone call an adult woman "little"? Do adult women have "daddies"? Why would his desire be "bad"? What "things" on Earth would a Daddy do to his daughter? And, again, in the actual song, he is asking about things that he does not do. What things? I don't blame him; I'd be on fire, too. |
