Long ago we had a donation contributor who went by the name "Loony With A Sailboat". You are basically a gypsy, going from kind friendly place to place, and leaving possible future worries behind you. Even the super wealthy do this with their giant yachts, using various local laws to their whimsy advantage, even though wherever they show up they have high visibility. Doesn't seem to matter much for them, so why would a salty old dog with a modest floating home attract much attention? When I invent my pet rock or rubic's cube idea, this is how I'll be living out my later years. So far, nobody's biting at my pedo version of the board game Candy Land.

Work from home (work from boat) is another idea which opens one to a world of freedoms and possibilities. I'm not smart enough to work out the logistics to these things. They just seem like they would be of great benefit to some of us.

Remember that guy who died way out in the Pacific, and his boat floated for months or years as he sat at his desk mummified by the salt air? Some people were horrified by such an ending. I was feeling envious. That guy died as free as anyone ever could.
