I always liked Elle. Dakota was huge with many girl lovers, but she looked vaguely like a space alien to me. Not that she wasn't a great actress, and I will never forget her tribute to Shirley Temple (bows to Dakota). She definitely was incredibly talented.

Still, Elle had to really step up and be amazing just to avoid her older sister's shadow, and if you've ever seen any of her early clips where she's trying to impress people to get a script read, she's beyond charming and extremely extroverted even with adults. There's a twinkle of intensity in her eye. I lost track or interest sometime around when she came out to dance with Ellen the talk show host, but she was a little firecracker who likely didn't get her just due back when she was in that magical age range.

Yeah, I hate Hollywood today too. I don't know either. Just roll with it. She was hot. That's all that matters.
