I posted briefly about this in response to another post, my experience around 10-12 years ago when I was closely following anti-pedo legislation was that all of it, literally all of it that I came across, was backed/pushed through/etc. by republicans. Not that democrats like us at all, but I saw zero democrats' names on the bills that I read.

As a more recent example, check out the list of cosponsors for the CREEPER Act:

Out of 33 cosponsors total, there are only three democrats. The remainder are all republicans. The bill seeks to make child sex dolls illegal in the US - ostensibly because it curbs child "abuse," (politicians never need anything resembling empirical evidence for their claims) - though obviously, their deep-seated interest is removing any outlet pedos might have to release their sexual energy.
