Hi Eeyore,
Thanks for doing our surveys and for sharing your thoughts. I'm glad some of the things we are asking about seem worthwhile and will make a contribution. True/false can be hard to respond to: it's difficult to try to take our complex experience related to what the items are asking about and reduce it to a dichotomous response. "Trying to get a view of our own childhood was also something I felt might show some promise." Agreed. I think there is a lot more to ask MAPs/CLs about in terms of childhood experiences, hopefully we will continue to ask about developmental aspects of your lives, just so we can start to build a more fulsome developmental/life course understanding of MAPs/CLs. "I suspect the number who interact online in any format is a very small percentage of the number of us out there in the real world." Again, agreed. Any sampling method with the community will have flaws. Without doing a population-based methodology, I am at a loss for how to go about reaching the wider MAP community. |
