"The term "whore" is to me a way for men to try to control females by shaming if they choose to participate in normal human activity."

I understand the sentiment, but I would note that it is chiefly women who try to control other women by using shame. It's a sort of protectionism in which women try to maintain a high price on sex so that they themselves can use sex to get what they want from men. In this understanding, whores are the scabs who cross picket lines to give men sex at a lower cost, and the unionized women resent this because it weakens their own bargaining position. It is difficult to rope men into becoming their personal lifetime providers (slaves, even) when there are plenty of other women willing to provide sex at a much lower cost.

Perhaps women should consider that those who want a lifetime relationship can provide men with other things they need: emotional support, children, and sandwiches. ;-)
