I hope someday they will join us
And the world will be as one
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too

You see, the majority of humanity's problems stem from those privileged few who stand on pedastals and yell out that some magical god told them what to tell YOU in order to get you to be obedient to those privileged few. Yes, occasionally they were right about not eating pork. But, for the wrong reason. Because those privileged few scare people with death, eternal burning in fires and excruciating pain, today, people believe that eating pork is STILL going to send you to hell. The Earth is flat, the Sun goes around the Earth which is the center of the universe, 7,000 year old dinosaurs walked about with humans, the ratio of a circle's diameter to its circumference is exactly 3, and

sex is evil.

We, unfortunately, still see this all today. As a sailor, I am exquisitely familiar with a very remote island in the middle of the south pacific. The mutiny on the Royal Navy vessel HMS Bounty occurred in the south Pacific on 28 April 1789. The mutineers ended up on Pitcairn Island and their descendants live there today. Pitcairn is the least populous national jurisdiction in the world. The Pitcairn Islanders are a biracial ethnic group descended mostly from the nine Bounty mutineers and the handful of Tahitians who accompanied them, an event that has been retold in many books and films. This history is still apparent in the surnames of many of the islanders. Today there are approximately 50 permanent inhabitants, originating from four main families.

In 2004, charges were laid against seven men living on Pitcairn and six living abroad. This accounted for nearly a third of the male population. After extensive trials, most of the men were convicted, some with multiple counts of sexual encounters with children.

In 2010, the mayor faced charges of possessing images and videos of child pornography on his computer downloaded some time after the 2004 sexual assault convictions. He was found guilty.

If you read between the lines, if you try to understand the history surrounding all this, if you try to see beyond what the current and historical writers of propaganda would have you believe, you will see quite a different picture. But, even in this extremely brief account of the Island, you can see something struggling to get out into the open.

I am sure some bad things did take place there. Perhaps still do. But, so too, the rest of the world is like that. Nothing is perfect.

I submit that Pitcairn is damn close to it.
