First, I am sad to hear about the murder you referenced. I'd suggest girl lovers starting a GoFundMe page, but all the comments would just be excuses of various reasons why people couldn't donate;p

But yeah, it reminded me of another story here long ago, where some kid lied about the neighbor next door and the parent went and killed him. I think he even got off easy for it, based on "understanding" someone would rightly be driven to murder without due process where pedophilia is concerned. I also remember the guy who used a public sex offender registry as a hit list to kill two people in I think Maine and Canada. This is what led me to warn girl lovers on public registries to keep personal protection for themselves. Better to be tried by 12 (shooting someone at your door who's come to kill you for being pedo), than to be carried away by six (you, dead in a casket).

I'm not surprised about Hollywood. Anything goes there if you are rolling in dough. Nobody remembers Mel Gibson in that interview telling the person that when you hit the big time, anything you want is available ("and I DO mean ANYTHING")? I never thought he was lying, and I suspect much or most pedo stuff in those circles is toxic, as in just hedonistic, mixed up with drugs, and just wanting young flesh. We probably seem like overly concerned pansies worrying about their "feelings" and "honoring their will" and all that. Actually, I have slightly more insight about that, but it's not for sharing.

Then there was Sophie. Been hearing blurbs about her for the last week. I guess I don't have good connections if she's been around since she was 9.

Sigh... conflicted.

On the one hand, it makes me laugh to hear that a kid that age can trounce her ideological opponents so succinctly. I'm not really sure she's coming up with all of that by herself, but let's just presume she is. No well adjusted girl that age and raised properly should be that dark and cynical so soon in life, and it's a turnoff to me personally to hear any girl (who considers herself a lady at least), flippantly drop F-bombs. It's just crass and trashy to me for any kid to do, but especially girls. I'm a little more lenient when the curse is actually unplanned and exclaimed, like when you stub your toe or your important homework falls into a puddle or something. That's really what curses were intended for anyway.

I dunno... cheering on kids who are jaded so early in life to run with their jadedness? That just doesn't seem like it's gonna promote long-term happiness for them down the road. On the other hand, I think she has a right to express herself and not be censored, even though she will be, and that might even be part of the plan.

Who knows, maybe she's a sweetie in the rest of her life and that's just her shtick. Truthfully, though, she reminded me of that cold empty dark Del (d-Ella???) chick from PJ who later effed up employees' positivity levels at Twltter. (Gee, why would someone so dark have such a negative effect? Good HR hiring skills over there.)

Sophie might be similarly targeting others for wrath as a crutch for some similar unresolved hell that's residing within her. I'm no shrink, but that's the vibe I got listening to her. And why so on board with hating older dudes who might be attracted to her? Is she agreeing she's too naive to handle it? If so, then why take her views about the world seriously?

...And I say that even as I agree with much of what Soph says.

Maybe she just needs a Lincoln Log Libertarian (see what I did there?) to bring her flowers once in a while, or buy her a puppy:)

Meh, just a bit wary of her. Met enough young chicks in my life who were inflicting their personal demons onto others. Life's too short to encourage them when their biological role in life is to be nurturing humanity's survival instead of kicking it in the nuts. Hopefully I'm wrong about her.
