I am in my mid sixties. I am, I would imagine, old by everyone's standard. I just don't feel old... until I look in the mirror. Then, my ghod, I'm next in line to be dead.

But, like I said, I don't feel old. One day I was walking near some store and was about to enter. The door was not automatic. This woman came up to the door and held it for me, smiling.

"Ma'am, you mean that I am that old?"

"Oh. No. I, I, I, well..."

"Thank you, anyway. I am honoured. But I sure don't feel old enough to get a pretty woman to hold the door for me!"

She was ugly by my standards but I wanted to make her feel better about making ME feel bad by something she was trying to be nice about.

Ghod, I'm old.

But, yeah Griffith. Children at that age are brutally honest. You're old, too. I'm just older than you are.
