As for the why, I seriously doubt it was a sexual abduction. Although I don't know the statistics, I am guessing from what little I know about abductions that 3 year olds are rather low on the attraction. I suspect that 6 and above are more prevalent. Again, I am just guessing.

As for the who, I don't think we will ever know now. I suspect it was for an attempted ransoming. Upon seeing all the media, the victim was either dispatched there or shipped to a third world country for dispatching. I don't think She will ever be found.

What struct me, from all the stuff dug up surrounding the case, break-ins were popular but never investigated and there were lots of pedophiles in the area at the time.

By the way, I read that Madeleine was left asleep in short-sleeved, pink-and-white Marks and Spencer's pajamas and they recreated an image of someone carrying Her.
