Lots of great landfalls. Lots of open bays, beautiful beaches, lots of hidey holes for a great summer getaway. But it's about 46 degrees south latitude which is about the same north latitude as Sault Ste. Marie here in Ontario. That's going to be very cold in the winter. You'd have to migrate which is easy by boat but for anyone wanting a good, firm home... well...
As for clothing fashion while sailing, I normally sail quite out far from all the stinky powerboats roaring around. Out there, there is... nobody. So, for me, off comes anything that gets muggy. Well, except shoes. Don't want to stub my toe.... again. I was out, one day, and saw a powerboat just drifting about 5 miles from shore. I grabbed the Binoculars to see if there was any problems for them (powerboats rarely go out that far.) No problems, though. Two totally nude young women prancing about the foredeck to music, oblivious to my somewhat distant presence. Although it held no interest for me, I do remember the encounter. And this was Ontario! |
