There was a 2016 movie that recently came out (at least to my computer... somehow...) about a WWII team of Czech and Slovak agents fighting for the Nazi Resistance and their assassination of Reinhard Heydrich. Nazi intelligence falsely linked the assassins to the villages of Lidice and Ležáky. Both villages were razed; all men and boys over the age of 16 were shot, and all but a handful of the women and children were deported and killed in Nazi concentration camps.

War is war, and Hell is Hell. And of the two, war is a lot worse. There are no innocent bystanders in Hell. War is chock full of them — little kids, cripples, old ladies. In fact, except for some of the brass, almost everybody involved is an innocent bystander." (Writers for the TV series "M.A.S.H") |
