I think it's rational to be moderately anti-vax

and anti-medication. I got vaccinated as a child and would vaccinate my children too with the few major vaccinations, but as an adult I travel a lot and have never gotten vaccinations or taken medication and have never contracted anything. The side effects for some meds are as bad, or worse, than actually getting the disease. Same with vaccinations.

One good example is Mefloquine for malaria.
