I get sick if I get too cold and sick if I get too hot.
Then you most certainly would want to avoid the desert Southwest US. The daytime temperatures here average 95-110 degrees in June, July, and August. Nighttime temps rarely drop below 70. Even the tap water is that warm. It's funny that you mention hats for the cold. A watch cap is my bedtime staple for the cooler winters here. As far as CPAP machines go, it is nearly impossible to get one by donation They cost from US$ 1500 and up. And because the air pressure has to be set by a health professional, they must be prescribed. They are only covered by medical insurance, which is how I got my last one. I would be devastated to have lost that much cash, at least in my current situation. Back in the days when I was flush with cash, I once gave $100 to a person on the street who claimed that he needed it for a bus ticket. Unfortunately, two days later, I saw that same person on the street panhandling. I wanted to stop my car and beat his ass, but I had to admit that it was my stupidity to give the asshole cash, instead of offering to buy a ticket to put him on an actual bus. To this day, I refuse to give cash to panhandlers, no matter their alleged tales of woe. Anyway, the hour grows late. Time to try to squeeze in a few hours of rocky half-sleep before having to negotiate another day. |
