That's about the best education possible today but in your situation it's possible because of home schooling and they know that they can confide in you and talk to you without fear of being judged or condemned. That's not the case for 99.99% of kids though who know that even talking about it at best will bring some shame and incrimination to them or more likely wreck their home life and world. So how likely is it that they will seek advice or support?

The education system must recognise this though because that used to be the case for sex in general for children which is why the education system took a lead and started to teach safety and respect while removing the fear and taboo nature of the subject. This age gap anomaly though means there's a whole section of children in society who are excluded from receiving that same support, instead being left to suffer in silence.
