I found myself (at some sort of public event) surrounded by a number of 2 to 5 year olds of both sexes. The event itself hardly registered in my mind, but the children were an utter delight - the lack of guile and the absolute positive delight in their eyes was sheer joy, saving me from any despair I could feel as a CL in our present word.
