This did not seem like a case of intersexuality. Rather, this was an unfortunate assumption on the part of the parents. The boy had no actual female organs. What he had was a scrotum which strongly resembled a vagina. Whether or not his testicles had yet descended is another question.
However, what I find curious, is how this male so easily adapted to being raised as a female. I'd always thought that male and female brains were wired differently enough to influence their behavior even in infancy. I would be very interested to know if, as a preteen or even younger, he ever questioned his imposed gender. |
