Because of my past profession (one of them), I often think of the mathematics and physics of rapid demolition of structures (bridges, tall buildings, etc.) But do I actually do it? No. I'm too busy doing other things. Just because I think of a little girl sitting on my lap, that does not mean that I am actively pursuing such an encounter. Imagine what life would be like for those authors who write murder mysteries. Consider what thinking they must do. As long as your thinking stays in between your ears, you can think anything you can think up. So think away. Enjoy the thoughts. When you see that your actions are outside the limits you ethically place on yourself, then you have cause to worry. Think what you want; just don't act on it. |
