What's upsetting to me is that a lot of men that are active with kids are not pedophiles - it's thrilling, taboo, or some other thing - it was opportunistic, they got drunk, etc. I'm not pro-contact regardless but I feel worse when these types of guys are active with kids versus those who are actually sexually attracted to them - in the latter case, one would hope that there's mutual love there.
