The destruction of these dolls is nothing less than a government hate crime ... against pedophiles! No actual children are being hurt by these dolls, so what could possibly be the legal grounds for confiscation?!
The published comments on the few articles I've read demonstrate the rabid degree of unfounded hate and disgust that the general public holds against MAPs, regardless of their likelihood to commit actual offences against children. If anything, these dolls could provide much needed release for MAPs, possibly preventing untold illegal (although "consensual") sexual contacts with actual children. In other words, the dolls could actually keep more children safe from sexual contact (loving or otherwise), which, unfortunately, in the eyes of a sex-obsessed public is an even worse crime than violent physical assault. What in the world do people expect MAPs to do if every single outlet for the satisfaction of our sexual needs has been made illegal?! At the very least, the purchasers of such dolls are owed monetary compensation from the Australian government for the destruction of legally purchased property. |
