Jews and Muslims don't eat pork. Back then, it was a good idea. Unfortunately, it was instituted by "God's" directive and, apparently, "God" isn't commenting upon the concept any more.

As Wikipedia reports, (don't read it; you'll find it disquieting), the best way to prevent trichinosis is to fully cook meat.

Circumferencecision is like pork. You must fully cook the meat. No... wait... that didn't come out right. Well, hopefully, you get the idea.

I'm sort of atheistic so not cooking or cutting seems a bit pointless.
