There was a time I used to imagine such a messed up world, where I could become a sort of savior to some LG, take her under my wing, be her protector and lover in some sort of Mad Max type of future world. I didn't realize back then just how foolish and selfish it was to wish for a context of so much social suffering in exchange for a relationship born more out of childhood desperation than true mutual love. Neither did I stop to realize how many of the masses would not be around anymore, or be realistic enough to realize that despite my independence and survival skills, chances are that I and most of us probably wouldn't be around anymore ourselves.
