I'm not trying to piss upon your post, as I know you already know this, but my problem isn't directly with AI. AI is arguably just a tool. Some say it has the propensity to go off the rails and rebel against humanity on its own at some point, but I think that's quite a long way off, if (technically) ever a possibility at all. I'm not an expert in any of this. I'm just a nobody expressing instincts at random times. I think the real threat is just human greed. There's a select portion of humanity who crave, thirst, and compromise any part of themselves for control over others, and are willing to enlist useful scientifically gifted idiots for their unspoken purposes. It's a story as old as history itself. My concern is not AI as an entity itself, but what it is made to do by these warped individuals who are forever intent upon either enslaving or eliminating mass swaths of humanity. Only some have the access to the tools of such wicked dreams, but in general they walk among us in every career field, every socio-economic neighborhood, every belief system, religion, culture, state, what have you. They are owned by Greed and by Power, and they are forever the wrench in the gears of both peaceful coexistence and of moving the human race forward.

This is a nobody's opinion. The time for people to speak is now. Wherever and in what context or place it may be.
