So, umm... Teva...

...you know that if you just started taking out patents on the use of vinca alkaloids in the eradication of HIV, you could embezzle money from the aids folks to keep your childhood cancer treatment open, regardless of whether it was even remotely sane to give someone AIDS via bone marrow suppression rather than HIV... right?

(I mean, it's probably not. Supplemental assistance to help other drugs not have to reach high-side-effect levels on a molecule-per-cell basis at best, and a hard one. But it's still free grant money and you never know what will turn up)

For everyone who's not Teva... indole alkaloids usually fluoresce under shortwave UV. This is not at all hard to produce (except for the "what if we poison ourselves by constant exposure to toxic chemotherapy drugs" thing). More of a "we can forget all technical skill and buy a one-dollar blacklight for the chromatography work instead" thing.

Please don't let children die because you're afraid of using a mix of fraud and recklessness to save children's lives. :)
