The Star of David (✡) is a generally recognized symbol of modern Jewish identity and Judaism. Its shape is that of a hexagram, the compound of two equilateral triangles.

The yellow badges, also referred to as Jewish badges, are badges that Jews were ordered to wear in public during certain periods by the ruling Christians and Muslims, especially in Nazi Germany. The badges served to mark the wearer as a religious or ethnic outsider. They were required to be worn earlier in parts of Europe during the Middle Ages, and then, of course, during German-occupied Europe, and was effectively a badge of shame, as well as identification.

The simple word "pedophile" is our Yellow Badge. Our Yellow Star of David. Our badge of shame. The word prefix "pedo" indicates "child" oriented while the suffix "phile" denotes a lover of something as in "audiophile", someone who loves listening to or creating (audio) music. Thus, a pedophile is a lover of children. Modern society, in all it's love of pigeon-holing, equates a pedophile as someone who loves to sexually abuse children. "Child rapist" is equivalent to "pedophile". Technically accurate, although not socially understandable, a school teacher is a pedophile. Technically accurate, although socially mis-defined, I am a pedophile. I could never physically hurt a child, even with a gun to my head forcing me to. I would prefer death. Yet, this is what society has defined me as. the thing called Michael Rafferty is a child rapist.

This, then, is what heirophant was pointing to. I was convicted of kissing a little girl yet society would treat me like Raffety.
