My simple answer: "You stole my childhood" is just false. I have a thousand of examples covering millions of kids who objectively, empirically, are having or did have much worse life events or permanent life circumstances than she has.

I know in person many of those kids and former kids.






A more complex answer is that she is being listened to only because she speaks what the mainstream wants to hear and promotes. She is PC. Same as happened with Malala Yousafzai before her. Want someone to speak for youth? Then look for someone who is being censored and denied her voice by the powers of adults, for speaking about things the mainstream doesn't want to hear. Look for "Mini AOC", look for "Sewer Nugget Soph". And I know a few more but let's start with them.
