I know a little more about what Caretaker says above. Even a total collective amount of just 50 dollars a month would keep GC alive. Going by what I've slowly discovered about this place, if it were up to me I'd make each nic be required to pay one dollar per month, or at least any new ones from here on, but it's not my circus, and they are not my monkeys. It would certainly cut down on the virtual schizophrenia and the loss of 25% of our personalities every time one individual stops posting, eh?

sans has another good point. Most of the links have been dead since the days of Sheepy and Britany Spears. In the past it's been a bother to the treasurer to confirm that free money arrived safely. So don't anybody donate unless you can wait weeks to find out if it got there.

Also, write somewhere that it's from Girlchat. I don't know if that's in the instructions. If nobody can chip in what amounts to a few dollars a month, then that's just a reflection of how little we value the place, isn't it.
