I suppose the reason I asked is because recently, I was diagnosed with cancer and, for weeks, all I thought about was my impending death. However, the surgeon here was top notch and my cancer was small. Today, I don't think of my death as much as I was.

But, suppose that the biopsy results were that I was seriously burdened with tiny cancers everywhere? I just didn't feel it right now. What if, hypothetically, I had a few more months before my symptoms would show? (I'm not an oncologist so that scenario might not be real.) What if? What if it was a 6 year old child and she or he wanted to know if there was anything else in life?

Finally, you're right, also, in that this is just a fantasy. But it does bring up the ethics of it all. Assuming that there would be no pain, no discomfort, no legal entanglements, etc., would it be ethically wrong to give Her what She didn't know to ask for?
