I do not come here often and I had no idea that GC needed to raise funds, it is not the same to have a somewhat hidden page that says "Donations Gladly Accepted", than having big button on the central page that says FUNDRAISER 2020, with the amount that one aims for and instructions on how to donate, ideally open to everybody not just registered members.

I recall years ago there was a page at GC that listed how much nicks had pledged and after the donation was received, there was a "received" message to reassure people that the money they had donated had been received.

An idea that I posted back then, and it wasn´t implemented, was that contributors could get something in return, maybe a PRO tag next to their nicks, a special avatar or something along those lines or maybe a thread where only donators to GC can access.

But the most important part, is that I don´t think that occasional visitors know that GC needs funds when they enter the page. I certainly wasn´t aware of it...
