In the “United” states are over. As a loyal marketing subject, I did my best to make it ‘the best one ever’ (well, for the little ones anyway). All of my little loves still believe in Santa and, I must admit, I enjoy playing along; I do however put a different spin on it than the mainstream stuff they otherwise get.

They saw me cry again. First time (a previous generation of loves) was when US invaded Iraq. Then they asked why? Aren’t ‘they’ bad guys? Maybe, I said, but their kids are not, and many kids will be sad about the violence.

This time, again watching the news, I think about the kids. And cry. Two littles ones hug me and pat my back and cry themselves out of empathy and love.

I’m a lucky pedo, I know it. I have kids around me that understand me.
