As I said, it's from Mo Ibrahim's blog, so I really can't argue his points, but if this Russian chap wants to debate the English language interpretation of an Italian opera written by a German with Mr. Ibrahim (in Arabic, perhaps) he is welcome to have at it.
My only added comment was about Casanova, who was indeed an amazing individual. The bit about Don Juan/Giovanni (a legendary character, not quite the same as fictional) preferring young girls only because they are supposedly easier to seduce sounds like the same fallacious nonsense I hear from antis today.
