I meant to keep up with you folks after the last chapter of my life ended. There's much I'd like to talk about some day, perhaps in the chat.

I went back and found my last post. Thank you to griffith, sadlife, and Gimwinkle for the replies. I'm sure you weren't the only three glad to see my name pop back up, and I'm glad to know that.

To griffith, I have no plans to stop kicking. Gotta keep up the fight, you know? But I suppose I can start posting.

To sadlife, I did get a cat instead of a kitten, but it was more like a very young cat. Still kind of a kitten, but old enough to lose some of that charm that kittens are so known for. Honestly, I feel lucky to have had that experience. It wasn't all I'd hoped for, but in many ways, it was better than I could have ever expected.

To Gimwinkle, hope your tummy surgery went well. Seeing as how you're still posting, I assume it did. It'd be a sad day if I came back here only to find no new posts from you, old friend.


The girl I had and gave up is doing well. We've established a pretty strong friendship at this point. It surprised me. I expected that she'd be gone from my life forever. The breakup was easily the hardest choice I've ever made and my memory of that pain is still so tangible. I saw her today at her work. Was kinda weird when a little girl (actually within my AOA) walked in and was smiling and staring at me while acting shy with my ex right there. My ex doesn't know how low my age interests go, though I doubt she'd be terribly surprised.

Anyway, I'm going to try to spend more time here. Maybe get to know the new faces. Hope you all are doing well.
