Years ago a person who got with someone considerably younger than themselves was somewhat affectionately referred to as a 'cradle snatcher'. As we all know this has been replaced with the regularly misused term 'pedophile', often used in a nasty, vindictive way. Florence Pugh, the 24 year old actress, is currently with Zach Braff, 44. She has hit out at trolls who have called her out on the age difference. I seem to recall that Jennifer Lawrence was with an older man (Darren Aronofsky). Woe betide anyone who would dare call out Ms Lawrence thus! The couple from the late 19th century I referred to in my first reply, went on to have six children; he had had six to his first wife, all adult by the time he remarried. Thanks to him, I'm here today! I believe that older men offer young women and girls that father or grandfather figure they really want; a gentle, kind, loving man who knows how to treat a girl; who knows how to tenderly awaken her womanhood; not like the clumsy, bull-at-a-gate actions of a young buck.
