The brutality of youth crime has increased as broken families are on the rise.

That's a reason why, while I am a believer in rights for minors, I'm also a supporter of what is broadly described as traditional families. Many things which the Western family has evolved from the Industrial Revolution onwards are obviously negatives for children, but overall traditional families are traditional because they are successful internally and good for society.
