Yes, one of the best things of here is that though we're all very different, we tend to be very intellectually open and questioning. In circumstances like this one, it's of course an advantage.


I mentioned it I think on Gim's thread : Corona is infecting famous people at a very high rate, much higher than the background rate.

That gives us a worldwide infection rate a little below 0.01% (1 per 10 thousand), although we can still assume it's increasing.

And yet, an inordinate amount of famous people, in all fields of celebrity: entertainmeht and show business, politicians and government, sports; have become infected. This is much higher than the background rate there is for "all people".

I can see no reason why famous people should be more vulnerable to this disease (or really, any infectious disease), which leads me to believe it's being weaponized, or even that it was originally designed as a weapon.

(Which would also explain why its genetic affinities are zoonotic: it would be easier to make a deadly disease from an animal virus humans have not been exposed to than to make a human virus more virulent. In nature, generally speaking, most viri don't jump between unrelated species, or most who do jump have the capacity to infect many unrelated species with little discrimination between hosts. C19 obviously belongs to neither case.)

The truth will be revealing itself as everything develops, I suppose.
